Stay in the neighbourhood you helped to build
Becoming a resident in one of the GEF: Housing for Seniors’ apartment buildings or lodges is the beginning of a new life; not only do residents become part of a new community, but they also become part of a new family.
Our facilities are located city-wide in the neighbourhoods you helped build. We are community-oriented and maintain an active liaison with various organizations, clubs, schools and churches across the city.
Our facilities are rigorously cleaned and maintained. We place a great deal of emphasis on providing nutritious meal services. Residents have access to central dining facilities and some apartments have optional meal services available.
GEF: Housing for Seniors goes to great lengths to provide residents with a sense of security and peace-of-mind. Our lodges are well-lit and staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our apartments are in controlled access buildings that use a voluntary floor monitoring system.
You are eligible to join a Greater Edmonton Foundation (GEF): Housing for Seniors facility if you are:
- 65 years of age or older,
- functionally independent,
- medically stable, and
- a Canadian citizen.
