Connecting With Seniors
We offer many volunteer opportunities to directly interact with seniors living at our residences throughout the city. You could:
- Assist our recreation coordinators with lodge activity programs, such as art classes, exercise programs, and birthday party celebrations or entertain seniors with your signing, dancing, or musical expertise.
We are always looking for new program ideas and welcome your suggestions on anything that keeps seniors active mentally and physically! Call us at 780-482-65561 and ask to speak to one of our Operations staff.
Fundraising for Seniors
Annual Breakfast fundraiser
We hold our Building for Life Breakfast Fundraiser each year to raise money to build more affordable housing for seniors who live on limited moderate incomes. If you would like to help with this event please give us a call. All money raised goes to the Building Fund.
Casinos
Every 18 months we have our casino and are always looking for volunteers to help with this fun event. All money raised goes to the Building Fund.
Hold Your Own Fundraising Event for GEF
We’d love to hear from you if you have a fundraising idea or want to support us by holding your own fundraising event. Just give us a call to set up a meeting.
We will provide you with any training and orientation you may need to make your experience engaging and worthwhile.

Photography and Video Volunteer Opportunity
If you have a talent for photography and/or making videos, then we would like to hear from you. We’re looking to enhance our website with short video testimonials and we are always updating our website with new pictures. If you are interested in this opportunity please call Susan at 780-447-9207
